Making craft Jinn is a bit like a live music event. You never really know what you’re going to get on the night.
Even though I take every care with every batch I make, at the end of the day it is just me and my stills in the garage, it is all done by hand.
I try to make sure ever batch tastes just like the previous batch, I follow my recipes, and taste, and taste and taste again just to be sure I like it.
To that end if you are not 100% happy with the product in your bottle, drop me a line and we’ll take it from there, if it’s just a case of “I don’t like it”, give it to a friend who does. If the product is truly rank, and I don’t see how that could happen as I really do taste each batch before I bottle it, perk of the job, anyway if it is rank, as I say drop me a line and we’ll discuss it, I am happy to replace product.
If for some horrible reason the product has been damaged in transit, send it back as is, at your cost, and I will replace it at no extra charge to you.
I want you to enjoy my product as much as I enjoy making it.
“Bottoms up.”
Disclaimer
Sometimes you might notice a slight condensation in your Jinn bottle, Don’t Panic, this is fine, as far as I can tell it is a side effect of the distilled water I use to lower the ABV (Alcohol by Volume) of my products.
I use a product which has been ‘ultimate distilled’ that is distilled and then filtered through a reverse osmosis filter system. I use this because it has no residual flavour to detract from what I make, anyway, I have noticed that there is condensation in the bottles of water I buy, so that leads me to conclude it is that that causes the condensation in the bottle. Want it gone? Gently shake the bottle before you pour yourself a jinn.
Another minor issue I have noticed is with the liqueurs, sometimes, just sometimes the lid will stick to the bottle, or there will be a white powdery substance on the lid, or a trickle down the side of the bottle, it’s ok, it’s just the glucose I add to give the liqueurs the sweetness and mouth feel, trying to get out.
To fix it there are a few things you can do.
- Gently wipe down the bottle with a warm damp cloth.
- Drink the product quicker, friends are usually a great help with that.
- Hold a cocktail party, this is also where friends are a great asset.
- Not worry about it, it doesn’t matter really.
- If all else fails return to points 2 and 3
Couriers
North Canterbury / Christchurch
We use a local courier company who specialise in local deliveries really fast. Outside of my local area, they will on-courier your Jinn to a national courier, who I am sure will try their best to get it to you really fast as well.
I expect deliveries to the North Canterbury / Christchurch region will be 48 hours for orders placed during the Monday to Friday working week, orders on a weekend will be dispatched on the first workday after the weekend. Outside of that region will be a bit longer, maybe.
Courier costs? Due to rising costs we now have to charge $10.00 courier costs for all orders under $50.00, sorry.
At the moment I am not planning on international deliveries, when I do I’ll advise everyone via our Facebook page.
